Thanks to Webb’s Restaurant for the food and fellowship on a cold morning. We had a good ribbon cutting Feb. 12 despite snow and no school that morning. Webb’s is located on 546 South Main Street in Lewisburg. Webb’s, and the wonderful family who run it, wants to satisfy all your dining and catering needs, so call them at 270-755-5005.
LOGAN LEADERSHIP YOUTH
Even with all the snow and bad weather, the Logan Leadership Youth were able to tour local facilities such as Logan Aluminum, Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home and Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab Center. Above, the group watches a safety film at Logan Aluminum and puts on safety clothes before going into the "hot melt" part of the plant. Look for more in coming months on the first leadership class for sophomores.
AGRICULTURAL/4-H NEWS
Here are a couple announcements our friends at the extension office wanted us to pass along:
- There will be an informational meeting with a Kentucky Industrial Hemp Company interested in investing in Logan County producers who might want to hive Hemp farming a try. The meeting will be Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. at the Logan County Extension Office.
- Each year the local 4-H Council and volunteers ask individuals and businesses to consider donating to the 4-H camp scholarship fund for those children who would like to go but can't afford the $200 fee. The donations in the past have changed lives and your donation would help in many ways. Call Gary Michael Templeman at 270-726-6323 for more information.
WELCOME NEW MEMBERS
We welcome our new members since the last newsletter:
- New Vision Community Church, 111 McDougal Street, Russellville. Pastor Brad Rogers.
- Staples Health Clinic, located at 104 East Main Street in Auburn. They are currently accepting new patients. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and will soon be open on Saturdays as well. Call at 270-542-8888.
